Applicants must be registered and operate in the United States and/or the United States Territories.
Applicants must assume one of the following legal statuses: Nonprofit organization; For-profit organization with a demonstrated commitment to social good; or B-Corporation.
Applicants must complete and submit the application form by the submission deadlines. The Foundation will not consider late or incomplete submissions.
Applicants cannot be past or current CTIA members at any point in the application and awards process.
Applicants cannot be past Catalyst Winners. Past Catalyst Honorable Mention recipients may apply.
Individuals are not eligible to apply.
Prizes: 1st Place $100,000, 2nd Place $50,000, 3rd Place $25,000, 3 Honorable Mentions will receive $10,000 each.

Eligibility: All innovators and entrepreneurs owning or representing sustainable chemistry innovations from research institutes, startups, SMEs, or similar with up to 50 staff and a turnover under €10 million are eligible. This excludes major enterprise-owned entities, barring those creating independent spin-offs. Proposals from and addressing developing countries and female entrepreneurs are highly encouraged. Proposals are judged on innovation (uniqueness and originality), business viability (market potential and commercial feasibility), and sustainability impact.

The Renewable Transformation Challenge is awarded every two years to recognize accomplishments by organizations such as private enterprises, NGO’s, and research institutions for undertaking projects and programs that help move the world toward an energy system supplied entirely by renewable energy sources, or for conducting the critical analyses that provide meaningful roadmaps for the transformation.
